Good price good food! I had breakfast 2 times here just perfect! The owner is very friendly and welcome!
Great place for lunch !! I always get the Greek salad with chicken and avolemono soup, they are delicious! Property of a beautiful family.
I usually worked around the corner from here. Small cafeteria style. Very clean establishment The waiting time is extremely short. Their sandwiches are a good portion and always well done. The sandwich with crabmeat is my favorite. However, this property does not accept cash credit cards only. This is a negative aspect.
Another businessman who is "smarter" than anyone else. I have 0 tolerance to retail outlets that do not accept credit / debit cards these days (especially one in downtown Newton) worse, there are no signs on the door, only a small one in the register. I had just left the gym, I had a bottle of water and I drank it while I ordered breakfast. I took out my card to pay and they told me "only cash". They told me there was a bank at the end of the block and I went out to spend $ 3 to get the money for a $ 6 breakfast. I never found the bank in Boston, I walked the entire block and saw a citizen bank, so I went there money. When I returned to the restaurant, a little annoyed, I said that they probably should have made bigger signals that only said cash, since many people do not bring money these days. The owner (I think) came from behind and said the credit card companies charge too much. I assured him that the accusation was nothing compared to the cost of the ATM and the inconvenience it caused me and he shrugged. Then I paid for my water and coffee (which had already been poured) and I reminded him that the restaurant was empty and that he probably should have invented other ways to keep them away. These entrepreneurs who try to save a few cents are losing many dollars in the process. I know that I am not the only one who does not return to cash only in places.
Corner coffee = Gas station (higher end like Wawa, of course). He thinks that the community college cafeteria meets the service station. It's your super simple basic food, payable only in cash.
These places are necessary, not everything has to be super cool, delicious and perfect, so there's nothing wrong with that. Sometimes you need a nonsense place to eat. Personally I avoid it because this place is too mediocre for me (and sometimes it stinks).
I just started working in the vicinity and my colleagues have recommended this place ... although after giving some possibilities, I can not understand why. It's not a good place to sit, and the food is * very * basic (almost more like the food in the canteen) and yet it's still quite expensive - ten dollars for a "Greek chicken salad" brings you iceberg lettuce , carrot chips, a few slices of cucumber, a piece of roast chicken without seasoning and a single canned black olive. And a super cheap "Greek" bandage pack and a plastic fork. I ate much better at the truck stops, really. (NOTE: I'm a little fat, so I did not eat the sandwiches or anything else, the salad is all you can get here if you do not or can not eat bread).
Even the drinks and coffee that are offered have the same value as your local service station, even if at least the service station accepts credit cards ... this place is not and will become saccharine with you if you do not know . Unfortunately, this is not one of those really friendly "family" restaurants; is the type in which someone who looks like your older aunt is in a bad mood and disapproves of you for the time you are there. I guess the attraction is simply due to the lack of other fast restaurants within walking distance of the office parks around here, but seriously, if you walk a bit or walk a block or two, you can do much better. There is a Thai place around the corner where you can get delicious spring rolls and hot tea for less than this sad "salad" of elementary school.
